Dedication
Places of Remembrance
The Princeton University German Department and the Princeton University Art Museum are pleased to announce the dedication of the East Payne installation Places of Remembrance. Created by Berlin-based conceptual artists Renata Stih and Frieder Schnock, Places of Remembrance features two lightboxes of maps depicting the years of 1933 and 1993 and speaks to how memory functions in the social sphere and how it is symbolically reflected in urban spaces.
Remarks will be made by Michael Jennings(Chair of the German Department), James Steward (Director of the Art Museum), and artists Renata Stih and Frieder Schnock.
Free and open to all, a reception will follow.
